So, it seems my latest overnight success is my preggo design. I've always thought it was cute, and love how sweetly yet bodly it declares something so important, ya know? Anyway, the popularity lately has skyrocketed! I wonder what everyone was doing as spring was knocking at the door!? And now they all have news to share.

Also overnight, Natalie seems to be working on some top teeth. It is so cute, because she has three bottom teeth and nothing on the top. The pattern is of course to normally get two on bottom and then two on top, but when her third tooth pooped in on bottom, it made her little smile kinda lopsided, which is of course adorable. But, those poor top gums have blown up like balloons now! I wonder how long these teeth will take?

So, I know everyone asks me how I have time to do Tilly & Mia (www.tillyandmia.com). And I guess it's one of those things that I just have to do! I have enjoyed the creative outlet so much, and seeing the success has been such a rush.

Sidenote: Stuart and I are watching Saturday Night Live. There's a Debbie Downer skit on right now. It cracks me up b/c of the Debbie Downer I know personally right now. I mean, this woman (Rachel Dratch's character) is so much just like her! This person (who will reamin anonymous) is just like Pig Pen, but instead of dirt it's negative energy. Ya know the type? Ugh!

Anyway, I am wanting to work on a new section for the store of birthday party invites, and favors, and onesies, etc, and while I have a few items, I need to expand it. In fact, Natalie's birthday is right around the corner and I still haven't come up with an exact theme.

Maybe I should do a poll? Ladybug? Monkey? Cupcake? Something like "Happy First Birthday Babyckakes" could be cute -- and I could use a cupcake image and bake cupcakes for the guests! Hmmmm...I am kinda getting into that! :) But, is that something you tell your daighter someday? You first birthday party was a cupcake theme. I am not sure about that one. Maybe I'll work on it and see what I come up with!

Lots of people ask me, why Tilly & Mia? Tilly & Mia, by the way, is my other baby. But, I'll get to that in a minute.

Last year at this time I was a happily waddling pregnant person. Sure, there were aches and pains, and sleeping wasn't always the easiest, and trips to the bathroom were on the rise, but in hindsight, how blissfully ignorant and happily round I was. My husband, Stuart, did all of the cleaning, cooking and carrying of heavy things. I read What to Expect When You're Expecting, Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child, Babywise, Baby Whisperer, and Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy. I was ready! People smiled at me in the grocery store, and I beamed back. Look at me! I am buying my first package of diapers! I am preparing! This is going to be fun!

On July 23, 2005, Natalie Amelia (reluctantly) entered the world. Since the Fourth of July, I had been having contractions, for weeks I was dialeted 2 centimeters, and then three. The doctor said I was fully effaced. My friends told me the baby was just going to slide out! But, after 36 hours of labor and a vacuum extraction, we were both a bit beat up. I'm afraid Natalie even moreso than me. But, a few days later we all came home and we were a family.

So, ten months later, here we are. Natalie is smart, and funny and determined and sweet and independent. Her eyes are so shiny! And to her, the world is so new. So, I guess while she discovers the world, I've been pumping up my creativity as well. So, that's why Tilly & Mia. Oh, and then name? Tilly is short for Natalie and Mia is short for Amelia, of course!
